A
unique design is more expensive, but it also involves drawing from scratch, a completely unique development for a specific order. Depending on the professionalism and / or policy of the company, the web designer either develops the idea and design concept completely independently, or receives a number of requirements (color, style, etc.), expectations and ideas from the customer or the creative director (art director) and Tries to keep this trend when developing the layout. Most customers mistakenly identify the web designer and webmaster, entrusting him and publishing the site.
Sometimes a designer can offer a design solution based on templates (his or even others'), this speeds up the work and will cost the customer cheaper.
Some designers even specialize in making design mock-ups for sale as ready-made templates, which can then be bought and used by less experienced designers or webmasters for the production of typical sites (in fact, without a unique design).
Sometimes the development of web design is called a small reconfiguration and adaptation of such a template for a specific order. The final product of the web designer's work is a design layout: a picture representing the prospective future appearance of the site pages. This picture is multilayered, where, at the discretion of the designer, almost every detail is a separate layer attached to other image layers, which can easily be used to refine, replace, re-arrange, and other tasks. Depending on the idea and purpose, the layout can include photos, complex collages, illustrations, text layers, unique icons. For the home page and internal pages, individual layouts with additions or changes are sometimes drawn in accordance with the subject matter of the page.
